An active outdoor game to build coordination and control

For kids—and grown-ups too

Good for

Focus • Awareness

Quick Reaction • Agility

Try it After sitting • Transition time

Before recess • Ages 3+

Pairs with Tree Shape • Zig Cue

The Spark

Find a sunny open space.

Instead of tagging a person, tag their shadow.

Try It

One player is “it”

Step on another’s shadow, tag

When tagged, switch roles

Then Keep Exploring

Once the game spreads out, keep the Zag going.

Sprint across the grass.

Jump over shadows.

Chase the light.

Movement brings the fun.

The best outdoor time happens after the game.
