Meet Your Guide
Hi! I'm Kether Mayen — Trail Name Spunky Mind — lifelong lover of nature and movement and the founder of Trail Built Kids™, a kid’s movement program focused on strength, balance, coordination, focus, confidence, and outdoor movement.
• • •
I am a youth movement educator with over 30 years of experience working with children in schools, camps, and community programs.
• • •
Along my winding trail, I have taught physics in college lecture halls, yoga and functional movement as an E-RYT 500 and YACEP educator through Yoga Alliance, and founded and operated a children’s business for over two decades. I have coached youth in endurance sports, led nature programs for youth, and taught strength-based movement and outdoor education along my trail.
• • •
Trail Built Kids grew from decades of hands-on experience guiding kids to build strength, confidence, coordination, creativity, and focus through simple movement practices, nature, and outdoor play.
• • •
The program supports attention and self-regulation by pairing skill-based movement practice—Zig—with outdoor activity time—Zag.
• • •
Trail Built Kids invites kids to move—build strength, confidence, coordination, and connect with nature, through simple, fun, skill-based movement sessions and outdoor activity time.
See you on the trail
Trail Built Kids is designed for real-world use — at home, in schools, and in community settings.
