Spectacular hiking trails with flowers and red poppies in Cinque Terre National Park, near Manarola village, Liguria, Italy, Europe

Umberoo stepped onto the trail just after the rain clouds.

The ground felt sandy beneath its feet. Tiny drops still clung to the leaves.

It moved slowly.

Not because it had to—

because it wanted to notice everything.

Step. Pause. Look.

A pebble shifted underfoot.

Umberoo stopped.

Looked down.

Then tried again.

More carefully this time.

The trail curved through a quiet patch of flowers where sunlight flickered across the ground.

Umberoo continued with the same steady rhythm.

Step. Pause. Look.

A bird called somewhere overhead.

Tall grass brushed gently against its legs.

Nothing on the trail felt rushed.

Even when the ground changed—

rough here, smooth there—

Umberoo adjusted naturally.

Listening with its feet.

Moving for fun.

The farther it traveled, the more the rhythm settled in.

Not fast.

Not slow.

Just steady movement through the trail.

Calm.

Curious.

Alive.
